One of my clients just told me, “I had an Aha today. I used to see that we are all on different levels of eating, but now I see that we are all on different levels of loving.”

 

That realization is profound. I often say that how you eat is how you live. And also: how you eat is how you love.

Some people tell me that they “love food.” Some people adamantly defend their food choices to the death. But many times it’s a justification to space out, to chronically get too full, and eat those foods that make you feel tired, or even sick.

At what level of loving yourself with food? You may have not yet discovered how it feels to love yourself enough to be kind and give it nourishment. At what level of love do you play the game of life?
