“Look…I’m not going to apologize, I had a BLAST that night.”
Jennifer Lawrence found herself in the full glare of the world earlier this year, when a video of her dancing around a pole in a strip club was leaked to an American showbiz website.
Candidly filmed, the footage showed J-Law letting her hair down at the Beverly Hills Club in Vienna, Austria. The actress was shooting Red Sparrow in the European city and took some time out to have a laugh with her gal pals.
But at the time, Jennifer found herself coming under an unfair amount of criticism for her antics which, let’s face it, would’ve gone unnoticed if it was anyone else.
The Hunger Games star, 26, has now spoken about the incident in an interview with Vogue, which sees her gracing the cover of the September issue.
Insisting that she has nothing to be ashamed of, and quite rightly so, Jennifer tells the magazine: “My biggest fear from that whole thing was that people were going to think that I was trying to be sexy.”
“Also, it looked like I had taken my shirt off. I was in a crop top. I did not take off my shirt. I’m on the phone with my lawyers, and everybody’s like, ‘Is there anything we need to know before it comes out?’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s all there.’ ”
