“I’ve been doing pole for six years, it is my passion as well as my job.”

When wanting to get fit, the last thing many people would think of is to turn to pole dancing.

But over the past few years, pole dance fitness has become a popular way to do just that.

So it is no surprise that Sarah Guthrie has cottoned onto the trend and has opened up her own studio dedicated to pole fitness.

But it isn’t just pole dancing that Body and Pole Fitness Studio in High Newham Court, Hardwick, offers – it also has other classes, including aerial hoop and aerial silks.

“I have been doing pole for six years,” said Sarah.

“It is my passion as well as my job.”

But until now, Sarah has been teaching classes at gyms in the area, but soon realised she needed her own place to keep up with the demand.
