A pole dancing and aerobics studio has been told to find a new venue after city planners ruled it is in the wrong place.
The Addictive Fitness studio has been running from the Castle Vale Enterprise Park without planning permission for more than two years – offering 26 classes a week for eager young dancers.
But council bosses have ruled that an industrial park is no place for a leisure facility and the unit should be set aside for manufacturing.
Planners have previously come under fire for allowing industrial sites to be used for housing or commercial development at a time when the city is trying to attract manufacturing businesses and jobs.
In a bid to aid the fledgling business, planning officials have agreed to give them help, as well as at least six months, to find an alternative venue before enforcement action will be taken.
