Everybody has a smile on their faces and they have a lot of fun as well as getting a good core workout in the water
There’s a pole new fitness craze splashing out in Pembrokeshire.
Pole-dancing is known to have extended its nightclub origins into a daytime workout boost, but never before in the water. Until now!
Thanks to fitness instructor David Maund, pool pole dancing is now a reality and Pembrokeshire’s pioneer class has just got underway at Narberth Pool.
David, a personal trainer, who has introduced the Hydrospin aqua bikes to west Wales, snapped up the aqua poles at a leisure show and is now taking them to pools across the area.
Newcastle Emlyn was the venue for the first Hydropole class in Wales, and now two 30-minute pool pole dancing classes are being run at the successful community enterprise, Narberth Pool, every Thursday.
“Everybody has a smile on their faces and they have a lot of fun as well as getting a good core workout in the water,” said David, aged 34.
