Los Angeles, April 9 (CNA) Taiwan’s Lin Hsiang-chen (林詳宸) clinched the top title in the qualifier professional category at the 2017 Pacific Pole Championships Saturday in Los Angeles.
Lin was the only non-U.S. competitor and the only dancer from Asia. He was participating in the regional event for competitive pole dancing for the first time, according to the event organizers.
Upon hearing the announcement that he had won, Lin burst into tears of joy.
He said that it usually takes him three months to practice for a competition but this time around, he had only about one month before the event. Therefore, he had to train very hard, he added.
