Summer is in full swing but now the effects of enjoying the outdoors and sunshine may be starting to take a toll on the skin–especially for dry, mature skin. It’s the time of year when it’s important to give the skin intensive hydration and repair the skin’s moisture barrier that has been weakened from sun exposure.

Hibiscus Calendula Hydrating Masque from Eminence is my top choice for sun damaged skin. Hibiscus Tea, Oil, and Flowers cool and soften the skin; promoting elasticity. Shea butter, high in triglycerides and fatty acids; replenish the skin’s moisture barrier. Key ingredients also include Aloe Vera Juice, Biocomplex; a booster of antioxidants, vitamins, Coenzyme Q10, and Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve the appearance of skin.

At the beach or by the pool? The salt water and chlorine chemicals can be very drying to the skin. Make sure you cleanse immediately after wards and apply moisturizer.

In between regular facials, it’s important to treat the skin to a mask treatment to keep it looking and feeling its best all summer long!
